Synopsis
214 patients scheduled for an upper extremity surgery were randomized to receive tourniquet release prior to skin closure (n=107) or after skin closure (n=107). The outcomes of interest included pain scores, satisfaction scores, and Quick Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (QuickDASH) scores.
