Synopsis
30 patients scheduled for either carpal tunnel release or trigger finger release were randomized to postoperative analgesia with either oxycodone 5mg, ibuprofen 600mg, or acetaminophen 500mg. Patients were assessed for pain scores, the number of analgesic pills consumed, the incidence of adverse events, and rate of request for additional analgesia over the first 5 days postoperatively.
