Synopsis
50 patients who underwent surgery for acute Achilles tendon (AT) rupture were randomized to receive two types of postoperative treatments. One group received early mobilization of the ankle in a brace for 6 weeks, and the other group received immobilization in a below-knee cast in neutral position for 6 weeks.
