Synopsis
66 patients with an intertrochanteric proximal femur fracture, who met the inclusion criteria, were randomized to surgical fixation with either a Gotfried percutaneous compression plate (PCCP) or the conventional fixation with sliding hip screw (SHS) for treatment of A1 and A2 AO/OTA intertrochanteric proximal femoral fractures.
