Synopsis
Ninety two adult patients with closed tibial shaft fractures were randomized to receive intramedullary nailing with distraction support (DS) (n=46) or without DS (n=46). The primary outcome of interest was operative time. Secondary outcomes included blood loss, hospital stay, infection, delayed union, and malalignment.
