Synopsis
Forty patients with chronic shoulder pain were randomized to receive pulsed radiofrequency (RF) treatment (n=20) or a suprascapular nerve block with local anesthetic (n=20). The primary outcome was pain intensity at rest and on movement. Secondary outcomes included shoulder range of motion, analgesic requirement, and adverse effects.
