Synopsis
70 patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty for end-stage knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive either oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC; n=35) or standard of care (n=35). The primary outcomes of interest included total blood loss, decrease in hemoglobin, intraoperative blood loss, and hidden blood loss.
