Synopsis
50 patients undergoing surgery for lateral malleolar fractures were randomized to receive either lag screws or a lateral plate. Outcomes of interest included quality of reduction, quality of union, Foot & Ankle Outcomes Questionnaire, and Core and Shoe Comfort Scale scores.
