9 randomized trials (2 from the same dataset) were included in this meta-analysis comparing duloxetine use and control (placebo, no intervention) for pain relief. The pooled outcomes of interest included pain scores at rest and during movement on a VIsual Analog Scale (VAS), and opioid consumption. Significantly lower opioid consumption at 48-72 hours.
