Synopsis
Three hundred and twenty patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive traditional Chinese golden plaster (n=160) or placebo plaster (n=160) for 21 days. The outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and the incidence of adverse events.
