Synopsis

Fifty two patients scheduled for hip fracture surgery were randomized to receive a pericapsular nerve group block (PENG, n=30) or fascia iliaca compartment block (FICB). The primary outcomes of interest were postoperative pain measured with a visual analogue scale (VAS) and postoperative analgesic requirements.
