Synopsis

Forty patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty were randomized to receive a postoperative pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block (n=20) or a suprainguinal fascia iliaca block (SIFIB). The primary outcome of interest was quadriceps weakness at 6 hours postoperatively.
