653 patients with plantar fasciitis from 12 randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis comparing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and steroid injections. The pooled outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score.
