Synopsis
83 patients scheduled for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction were randomized to receive either a femoral nerve block or an adductor canal block. Patients were assessed over the first 4 weeks after surgery for pain scores, morphine consumption, quadriceps activation deficit on electromyography, straight leg raise test, and ability to ambulate without assistive devices.
