Synopsis
200 patients scheduled for minimally invasive total knee arthroplasty and thromboprophylaxis with rivaroxaban were randomized to either intravenous tranexamic acid or placebo. Patients were assessed for blood loss, transfusion rate, hemoglobin levels, rates of ecchymosis, wound hematoma, and deep infection.
