Synopsis
4313 soldiers were cluster randomized to complete either a core stabilization exercise program (CSEP) or a traditional exercise program with bent-knee sit-ups to determine the occurrence of musculoskeletal injury with consequent work restriction. The results demonstrated no difference in the back injury or overall injury rates between the two exercise regimens.
