88 patients (aged 14+) with anterior instability of the shoulder diagnosed with a Bankart lesion were randomized to receive either an arthroscopic Bankart repair alone or supplemented with an electrothermal treatment of the middle glenohumeral ligament (MGHL) and an anterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament (IGHL).
