50 patients between the ages of 18 and 65 undergoing hip arthroscopy were randomized to receive a femoral nerve block (FNB) or placebo prior to surgery.The purpose of the study was to determine the efficacy and safety of a preoperative femoral nerve block, in terms of postoperative pain reduction and morphine consumption.
