Synopsis
30 healthy volunteers were randomized into two groups to either receive unilateral training of the ankle dorsiflexors 4 times per week for 4 weeks, or no intervention. The purpose of the study was to determine if the cross-training effect was present in ankle dorsiflexors of the contralateral, untrained ankle dorsiflexors in terms of peak torque and muscle work, as compared to no training.
