38 patients with rotator cuff tear were randomized to undergo arthroscopic rotator cuff repair either with or without platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. The purpose of the study was to determine if PRP treatment accelerated recovery and increased stability of the repaired rotator cuff, at a minimum of 16 months post-surgery.
