Synopsis
109 patients (120 hips) scheduled for ceramic-on-ceramic total hip arthroplasty were randomized to either a 32mm or 28mm femoral head diameter. The purpose of this study was to compare ceramic line fracture rates and dislocation rates between groups. Patients were followed for a minimum of 5 years postoperatively.
