25 patients with a rotator cuff tear <3cm, undergoing arthroscopic repair were randomized to one of two groups; a platelet rich plasma (PRP) group, which received intraoperative application of PRP along the repair site and a PRP injection at 4 weeks postoperatively, or a control group which received saline in a similar manner.
