Synopsis
58 patients with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis (OA) were randomized to either receive treatment using an pulsed electrical stimulator (PES) device (intervention) or a placebo device (control). Results at 3 months demonstrated that patients with knee OA in the intervention group had significantly improved function and pain scores compared to the control group.
