Synopsis
80 patients undergoing instrumented posterolateral fusion with allograft were randomized to one of two groups: one group had the allograft augmented by autologous bone marrow concentrate, while the other group received the allograft alone. Radiographic and CT evaluation was performed during 12 and 24 month follow-ups. Improved fusion rate was observed with the use of bone marrow concentrate.
