60 healthy male volunteers, between the ages of 18 and 55 years, with no history of low back pain, were randomly assigned into 1 of 2 groups to determine the effect lumbopelvic belts had on the thickness of lateral abdominal and lumbar multifidus (LM) muscles- two muscle groups that are closely related to spine stability.
