Synopsis
Six randomized control trials were included in this meta-analysis to evaluate the efficiency of intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) in reducing blood loss during spinal surgery. The results of this meta-analysis suggested that TXA successfully reduced the amount of blood lost preoperatively and the incidence of patients requiring transfusions.
