Synopsis
38 patients who were scheduled to undergo total knee arthroplasty (TKA) due to unilateral osteoarthritis of the knee were randomized to receive either preoperative proprioceptive training or control. The results from 6 week follow-up indicated that patients who underwent intervention displayed significantly improved stance stability and improved standing balance.
