Synopsis

198 patients with plantar fasciitis were randomized to receive 1 of 3 treatment modalities to determine the efficacy of a novel foot brace (the EZstep) in alleviating heel pain. Patients either received nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and wore an EZStep foot brace, or received NSAIDs while undergoing physiotherapy, or received NSAIDs, physiotherapy, and local steroid injections.
