Synopsis
42 patients with degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis of the knee undergoing unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) were randomised to receive either a multimodal analgesia protocol involving ropivacaine and morphine, or self-administered morphine only for postoperative pain management.
