Synopsis

321 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomised to receive treatment from one of two forms of high molecular weight hyaluronan. The first group received a high molecular weight hyaluronan produced by biological fermentation (Bio-HA), while the second group received an avian-derived hyaluronan that uses cross-linking.
