30 adult patients with unilateral osteoarthritis of the hip, who received a press fit cup, were randomized to full weight bearing or partial weight bearing for three months. The results from five year follow-up indicated that there were no significant differences between the two groups in regards to micromotion, as assessed with radiostereometry.
