Synopsis
91 adult patients who were scheduled to undergo total hip replacement were randomized to receive either a cobalt-chrome on ultra-high molecular-weight polyethylene, cobalt-chrome on highly cross-linked polyethylene, or a ceramic-on-ceramic bearing.
