Synopsis

100 patients undergoing hamstring autograft ACL reconstruction were randomized to either receive bioabsorbable or titanium interference screws for graft tunnel fixation, in order to compare the efficacy of the screws. Following assessments over a 2 year period, results indicated that both bioabsorbable and titanium interference screws with identical shapes were equally successful.
