Synopsis
53 patients with full thickness rotator cuff tears were randomized to repair using either double or single row anchors. The results at two year follow-up indicate that there were no significant differences in clinical or imaging outcomes. For tears that were greater than 3 cm, double row repair provided significantly greater strength outcomes at the final follow-up.
