70 patients with ACL deficient knees were randomized to undergo repair using either a double bundle or single bundle hamstring tendon procedure. Follow-up, after an average of 19 months, indicated that DB repair had superior anterior stability with a greater number of patients demonstrating a negative pivot shift test.
