Nine studies with 172,385 osteoporotic patients were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing denosumab with placebo or other osteoporosis treatments. Pooled outcomes of interest included incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), fasting blood sugar (FBS), HbA1c, and HOMA-IR.
