One hundred and twenty-three patients with moderate or high venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk undergoing knee arthroplasty were randomized to receive either continuous graduated pneumatic compression (CGPC) (n=62) or intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) (n=61).
