Synopsis

Ninety-nine patients aged 11–20 years undergoing posterior spinal fusion for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were randomized into three groups: preemptive IV acetaminophen administration (n=33), preventive IV acetaminophen administration (n=33), and placebo (n=33).
