Synopsis
Thirty-one patients with intertrochanteric hip fractures were randomized to receive either a single screw femoral nail (Gamma3; n=16) or a dual-integrated screw femoral nail (Intertan; n=15). The study assessed hip joint loading and abductor muscle forces during gait using electromyography-informed neuromusculoskeletal modelling.
