Synopsis
Fifty patients undergoing medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy were randomized to receive either a femoral nerve block (n=24) or a sciatic nerve block (n=22). The primary outcome of interest was intravenous morphine consumption at 24 hours postoperatively. Secondary outcomes included rest and dynamic pain scores at 2, 24, and 48 hours postoperatively, as well as functional outcomes at 6 months....
