Synopsis

Seventy-eight patients undergoing lumbar spinal surgery were randomized to receive either volume-controlled ventilation (VCV, n=26), pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV, n=26), or pressure-controlled ventilation-volume guaranteed (PCV-VG, n=26).
