Synopsis
Eighty geriatric orthopaedic patients were randomized to receive either guided imagery (n=40) or no intervention (n=40). The primary outcomes were preoperative anxiety levels and comfort, assessed using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory and the General Comfort Scale.
