Synopsis
50 patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty were randomized to receive either a tourniquet (n=25) or no tourniquet (n=25). The primary outcomes of interest were hemoglobin levels, estimated blood loss, total blood loss, operative time, and serum D-dimer.
