Synopsis
86 patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty were randomized to receive either intravenous dexamethasone or saline before surgery. The outcomes of interest included pain at rest and during walking on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels. Dexamethasone showed significantly better pain scores at rest and during walking with lower CRP levels, compared to the saline group....
