Synopsis
Sixty patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty were randomized to receive either a pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block (n=30) or periarticular local anesthetic infiltration (PAI) (n=30). The primary outcome was the incidence of quadriceps motor block at 3 hours postoperatively.
