Synopsis
Sixty patients with plantar fasciitis were randomized to receive an ultrasound-guided injection of platelet-rich plasma (n=30) or autologous blood product. The outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and the Foot and Ankle Disability Index (FADI), measured at 1, 3 and 6 months.
