Synopsis
Fifty-seven patients with chronic supraspinatus tendinosis were randomized to receive an ultrasound-guided injection of hypertonic dextrose (n=29) or normal saline (n=28). The primary outcomes of interest included pain scores on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and function on the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI).
