Synopsis
Fifty patients with hallux rigidus undergoing intra-articular corticosteroid injections were randomized to have their injection via landmark guided (n=25) or ultrasound-guided (n=25). The primary outcome was pain at 6 weeks as measured by a visual analogue pain scale (VAS).
