Synopsis
Thirteen retrospective studies with 132,633,93 patients were included to analyze predictors with prolonged opioid use in adult patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries in outpatient settings. Results demonstrated risk factors including older age, physical comorbidity, and past or present substance use disorder. The study was limited in heterogenous data.
