Synopsis
42 patients with osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) were randomized to core decompression with or without additional application of bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC). The purpose of this study was to compare the rate of conversion to total hip arthroplasty (THA) during follow-up to 24 months. Results demonstrated no significant difference between the groups in the rate of eventual THA.
